Check out the video about the new sanctuary

Here we grow again!! Many newspapers and blogs are giving creed to the Lord’s work in progress. This congregation is bracing for what is becoming widespread anticipation of having one of the oldest church buildings in Canada and in Louisiana delivered and re-constructed right in the heart of Abita Springs, Louisiana – on Main Street! The video can be seen online here.

Welcome to Louisiana Church

The Lord is blessing the Abita Springs, Louisiana area with a historical landmark from another country. All the way from Nova Scotia, Canada the building will become Louisiana Church’s new sanctuary, complete with a reconditioning of the materials, such as the heavy timber construction’s open beam design.

The building was constructed originally about 200 years ago in Granville, Nova Scotia, Canada, and will be soon on its way to the small, historical town of Abita Springs. The dismantling of the church is just about complete as of this writing in late November 2009. The material will be cleaned up, refinished as needed, packaged and transported south to a new home, where it will be erected on the property of the Louisiana Church, and the Abita Christian Daycare, located at 22376 Main Street, Abita Springs, Louisiana.
